Thank you for purchasing from Obsidian Codex Press. We aim to ensure you are satisfied with your order, and this policy outlines our return and refund practices.

 

Eligibility for Returns 


  • The item is defective or damaged upon delivery.
  • The received item is incorrect or significantly different from the product described.
  • Items returned due to customer preference or change of mind are accepted only if they are unopened, unread, and in their original condition
 

Timeframe for Returns

 

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

 

Condition of Returned Items

 

Returned books must be in their original condition (unopened, unread, and with no visible damage) unless the return is due to a defect or shipping damage.


Buyers are responsible for any loss in value if the item is not returned in its original condition.

 

Initiating a Return

 

To initiate a return, please contact us at info@theobsidiancodex.com. Clearly describe the reason for the return and, if applicable, include photographic evidence of any damage.

 

We may request additional images or details before authorizing a return. Once approved, you’ll receive detailed instructions on how to proceed.

 

Shipping for Returns

 

To return your product, you must ship it to the address provided in the return instructions.

  • If the return is due to our error (e.g., defective, damaged, or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs. 
  • If the return is due to personal preference or change of mind, you are responsible for all return shipping costs. These are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund if prepaid by us.
 

Return shipping address will depend on your region:


  • For US, Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand customers: returns are processed through our US-based fulfillment center.
  • For EU and EEA customers: returns are processed through our Germany-based center.
 

Refunds

 

Refunds will be processed via your original payment method within 5–10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.

 

Shipping Fee Refunds

 
  • Original shipping fees will be refunded only if the return is due to our error.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable in all other cases.
 

Exchanges

 

We only replace items that are incorrect, defective, or damaged upon arrival. Please contact info@theobsidiancodex.com to request an exchange.

 

Cancellations

 

Orders can only be canceled before they are shipped from our fulfillment center.


If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to stop fulfillment, but cannot guarantee it once processing begins.

 

Please note: A fee of 8% will be withheld from all cancellations to cover non-refundable payment processing fees and commissions.

 

Return Shipping Timeframe

 

The time it takes for returned or exchanged items to reach you may vary based on your location.

 

Exceptions and Non-returnable Items

 

Some products may be marked as non-returnable, including but not limited to:

 
  • Limited editions
  • Signed copies
  • Discounted or clearance items
 

These exceptions will be clearly stated in the product description where applicable.
